On Internationalization
Visiting Professor - Management and Organization Department

  Bruno Dyck
Full Professor
Department of Business Administration
I.H. Asper School of Business
University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada

At the close of the Centennial Year, De La Salle University pursues with renewed vigor its foundational commitment to be an agent for social transformation and social justice, consistent with the mission of the Church and the Founder.  In line with this, the newly-formed Management and Organization Department (MOD) has defined its vision to be a "Leading Academic Department in Bridging Faith and Management Practice."  Thus, it aims to implement educational, research and community service activities all anchored in situating management education from the perspective of enabling businesses and other organizations to become positive agents for social change under the stewardship of well-formed managers.

To support the achievement of its vision-mission, the department has decided to update its introductory management course – BUSORGA in the undergraduate and MANPRIN in the MBA bridge – around the textbook Management: Current approaches and New Directions by Dyck and Neubert.  We are therefore inviting Prof. Bruno Dyck as our visiting scholar for AY 2012-13 to support the roll-out of the new textbook, to orient the teachers in using it effectively, and to encourage research in values-based management education and practice.

Professor Bruno Dyck will be engaged as a Visiting Professor  for a total period of 11 days, specifically, from July 3-13, 2012,  of which 5 days are allotted for the lectures/seminars.
